As you are all well aware, COVID-19 is providing disruption everywhere. We have been continuously monitoring the situation in order to ensure the health and safety of our students and their families.

It is with a heavy heart that we are having to announce that we are going to have to temporarily close the Tameside Karate at both Copley and Ashton until further notice. The last class is Friday 20th March at Copley.

This decision has not been taken lightly and, in the end, the decision was made for us when Active Tameside announced that they were to close the leisure centres. You can view this announcement here:

However, it is not all doom and gloom! We are going to be opening a section of our website that will contain activities to help keep your Lil Dragons and Cadets going during this difficult period. Even the adults can do the colouring in sheets, but they must keep in the lines.

We shall also be opening up a member’s area that will contain some videos to allow you to continue to practice your karate from home.

Further to this, we shall be testing a new platform over the next couple of days to hopefully get an online dojo up and running!

Make sure you follow us on Facebook, and Twitter for the latest goings on with the club and how you can join in the fun.

As soon as we have any more information then we shall keep you up to date.

We just want to finish this with a message to say that you have all been awesome and we cannot wait to get back in to the dojo with you all once this is all over.

This is not goodbye, just Arigato Gozaimashita
