During the last few months, lock down has proven to be hard for a lot of our students. The sudden change from being able to go where you want when you want to having to stay in your home. Not being able to see friend, family, loved ones has been hard on a lot of people.

We know this has had a strain on mental health and wellbeing of everyone from the juniors to the adults. Sports is one place than can help your wellbeing and in turn your mental health, and being back at karate will help, but also a lot of our senior grades have taken a special course designed to help people who are struggling. We want to be able to help our students if they have worries, concerns, We want to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to better understand and support people living with mental health problems

The course is through UK Coaching and it is a Mental Awareness in sports and physical activity. We have done the course to be able to support everyone who may be struggling. I want to say a massive congratulation to everyone who took the course as it was not an easy one, but well worth it.

If anyone want to do the course, or want to know more about it, then go to the link below and the course is still free until the end of August. https://www.ukcoaching.org/courses/learn-at-home/mental-health-awareness-for-sport-and-physical-act
